A native of central Ohio, Dr. David Kroninger earned a Master of Science degree in microbiology before deciding to pursue a career in optometry. He received his doctorate in optometry from Ohio State University in 1982. He then continued his training in a residency program focusing on geriatric patient care and contact lenses and served as a contact lens consultant and instructor at the Ohio State University College of Optometry. In 1983 Dr. Kroninger entered private practice Optometry in Chapel Hill, He then became affiliated with Academy Eye Associates in 1994. In his practice he continues to specialize in contact lenses, geriatric vision care, treatment of eye diseases and laser vision correction.
